fire away

說吧

雖然“說”可以用say來表示，但是在口語裡經常使用fire away來表示“說吧”，其中fire有“開火”的意思，可形象地表示“說”。

What happened？ Fire away。

一言為定

想表達“一言為定”只要用一個詞deal就可以了，這個詞的意思是“交易”，可以引申為“成交”。

Deal。 We’ll deliver the goods soon。

一言為定。我們很快就送貨。

對話

A：We‘ll deliver the goods as soon as we sign the contract。

我們一簽訂合同就送貨。

B：Deal。

一言為定。

稍正式些的說法是“It’s a deal。”

或者可以說：

It‘s decided。  就這麼定了。

厲害

這裡的“厲害”不是形容人很兇，而是指“很強，很好”，可以用amazing表示。

Amazing！ Bob got a good job as soon as he graduated from school。

真厲害！鮑勃一畢業就找到了一份好工作。

對話

A：Jim was recruited by a famous multinational company。 /rɪˈkruːtɪd/

吉姆被一家知名跨國企業僱用了。

B：Amazing！ His future is promising。

厲害！他很有前途。

amazing多用來形容“令人驚異的好”，可以修飾景物、事物等。

另外，厲害也可以用“Terrific！ ”

或“Excellent！ ”來表示。

幹得好

Well done！ I will support you forever！

幹得好！我會永遠支援你！

對話

A：We managed to finish the job on time。

我們成功地按時完成了任務。

B：Well done！ It’s difficult to finish it in such a short time。

幹得好！在這麼短的時間裡完成是很困難的。

“幹得好”還可以用“Good job！ ”

或“Nice job！ ”

另外，還可以說：

Way to go！ 好樣的！

disgusting /dɪsˈɡʌstɪŋ/

討厭

“討厭”經常用在口語裡，表示“令人厭煩的，令人厭惡的”，disgusting就可以表達此意。

Disgusting！ Tom troubled me a lot。

討厭！約翰總是纏著我。

對話

A：Honey，I love you。 Will you marry me？

親愛的，我愛你。你願意嫁給我嗎？

B：Disgusting！ I don‘t like you at all！

討厭！我根本不喜歡你。

表示“討厭某人或某事”

可以用hate或者dislike表示

hate的語氣要比dislike強烈
